Happy new year, queers!

Breakups, hookups, and milestones abound. First things first, we need to address the JoJo Siwa breakup news. In December, we learned that JoJo Siwa and Avery Cyrus broke up after three months together. Things got more complicated when JoJo posted a TikTok indicating that Avery only dated her in the first place to further her career, something she re-iterated on Instagram. Cyrus has yet to address the situation directly but has posted two TikToks about being single. 

Luckily, we’ve also got some new beginnings to celebrate. Kehlani is dating former college basketball player and current UConn assistant coach Kiara Russell, who has been posting lots of Kehlani on her TikTok. A Kardashian stan thinks Kylie Jenner has a girlfriend. Are you looking for a girlfriend? Megan Fox has announced that she is now accepting girlfriend applications through her DMs. We’re hoping this means Machine Gun Kelly is now out of the picture.

Even more joy over the holidays. GMA host Robin Roberts announced her engagement to longtime partner Amber Laign while on-air. Mazel tov!

Low-key faves Abbi Jacobson and Jodi Balfour either had an engagement party or actually got married. Chloë Grace Moretz and Kate Harrison both posted each other on Instagram to celebrate the new year. Hayley Kiyoko and Becca Tilley dressed as The Grinch and Martha, and Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín celebrated Christmas in style. 

Flirting has gotten weird. Drew Barrymore had Aubrey Plaza on her podcast and they had one of the strangest conversations we’ve ever seen. Aubrey asked Drew to be her “mommy” and Drew told Aubrey to “get back inside her belly.” And it just keeps going. Meow! Also, Fletcher performed with Miley Cyrus at her New Year’s Eve special, and things got heated. We ship it.
