Gayjoy Digest #10

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Gayjoy Digest.

We’re back with…

Cara Delevingne and Sienna Miller kissed (again)

Cara was spotted “making out” with Sienna Miller Temple Bar on Friday night. If your first response is to roll your eyes at yet another headline featuring Delevingne kissing a probably-straight woman (hello, Selena Gomez), that’s quite fair.

It’s extra fair with the additional context that Miller also “made out with a guy at their table,” according to Page Six’s anonymous “insider” source. Whoever this "insider" is, they also revealed that Cara left her dog unleashed to run around the bar, which is sort of obnoxious.

Anyway, because we are thorough in our reporting, we’d like to remind you that this is not the first time these two women have kissed in public. They also kissed at a Met Ball Party in 2013, and documented the moment on Cara’s IG.

Anyway, we could be cynical here, but we do appreciate Cara for single-handedly keeping the celesbian news cycle alive during the dead of winter. While everyone else seems to be at home, avoiding the cold and Omicron, she’s out there keeping things interesting.

Kehlani and 070 Shake are in love and in Belize

In gayer news, Kehlani and 070 Shake continue to be the hottest couple we have. They’ve been on vacation in Belize over the last week, and the photos and videos coming out of the trip are just lovely.

We’ve been watching this video on repeat, which features the two women making music, dancing, and simply vibing in Central America.

Nothing further to report, really—we’re just happy for them!

Amy Schneider wrapped up her Jeopardy! run as the most successful woman to ever compete on the show

After a record-breaking winning streak, Amy Schneider’s run on Jeopardy! has come to an end. But with a consecutive 40 victories, she’s the most successful woman to ever compete on the show—and the second-most successful person overall, behind Ken Jennings (and his absolutely wild 74 wins).

If you’ve caught any of Amy’s episodes, you know she’s delightful. She’s also provided us with some excellent lesbian representation, like in this profile where she casually mentions that her girlfriend gave her a tarot reading on the night they met, and the reporter mentions that the two women “openly gush about each other, and dote on their black longhaired cat.”

We’re very happy for Amy, and almost not jealous that she’s walking away with over $1.3 million.

Queer briefs

  • That gay Dakota Johnson/Tig Notaro/Stephanie Allynne movie we wrote about last time is coming to HBO Max. We assume you already have a subscription to watch Euphoria, so this is great news.

  • Someone at Hinge decided that being queer and single wasn’t difficult enough, so they introduced a set of “Pride Prompts” for queer users. They’re predictably bad, i.e. “My chosen family is the best at…” No thanks!

  • Them reported that gay cruise operators are feuding with the NYT, begging the question: is it homophobic to suggest that people shouldn’t have orgies during COVID?

  • We finally got a full-length trailer for the fourth and final season of Killing Eve. It’s even more gorgeous and laden with sexual tension than we’d hoped.

  • Bella Hadid posted a TikTok yesterday using some very gay audio. People got excited about it.

Got something you’d like to share with our community? Send us an email! Whether you’re hosting an event, looking for queer talent, or are single and lookin’ for love, we’re here to help.
