Kristen Stewart is back, baby. It was recently announced that Kristen Stewart will be playing iconic lesbian writer Susan Sontag in a new film directed by Dick Johnson Is Dead documentarian Kirsten Johnson. We love this casting. It remains to be seen who will play Sontag’s longtime partner, photographer Annie Leibovitz. Also, Stewart’s fiancé Dylan Meyer posted a sweet Valentine’s day post about how much she loves Kristen.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, DC’s new trans superhero, Circuit Breaker, debuted on the 14th of February. The lightning bolt designs on his chest are said to resemble top surgery scars. Also Harley Quinn’s Valentine’s Day Special was probably the horniest episode of animated television we’ve ever seen, and proof that superheroes (or villains) needn’t be sexless robots.

Other dispatches from the little gay people inside of the internet:

  • Instead of listening to transphobes, hear from Brianna Ghey’s “trans sisters” about what she meant to them.

  • Read this open letter from NY Times contributors condemning the paper’s coverage of trans and non-binary people. Non-contributors can add their names as well.

  • Our favorite married beauty queens, Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín, were featured in a new Fenty ad.

  • Kylie Jenner kissed her “best friend” on Instagram and called her “forever valentine.” And we thought Kendall was the gay one.

  • Hear from queer indigenous musician Black Belt Eagle Scout about their new album.

  • Attachment is a new horror movie about uhaul lesbians and Jewish folklore. We give it 7/10 stars.

  • We’ve gotten our first look at the new series Dead Ringers, which stars Rachel Weisz and is based on the Cronenberg film of the same name. If you’ve seen the film, you know it’s going to be extremely disturbing and also gay (by way of twincest).

Until next time,
