A flaming hot update

A flaming hot update. Last week we brought you the hot ‘n’ sexy news that USWNT stars Christen Press and Tobin Heath (long rumored to be dating) had both posted pictures of themselves wearing gay t-shirts. Just after that digest went out we received an even gayer piece of news. As part of her work with the company re-inc, Tobin Heath made a piece of art that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The piece is titled “Our Now” and happens to be a bunch of squares that spell out the words “I AM GAY.” If the t-shirts last week weren’t confirmation enough of Tobin (and Christen’s) fruitiness, then this most certainly is.

A very sweet coming out. Last week, the Amazon series A League of Their Own premiered at Tribeca. In attendance at the premiere was Maybelle “Mae” Blair, a 95-year-old woman who was on the All American Girls Professional Baseball League that the original film and the new series are based on. Her baseball moniker was “All The Way Mae.” During a panel discussion after the premiere, Mae shared something with the audience. “I think it’s a great opportunity for these young girl ball players to come [to] realize that they’re not alone, and you don’t have to hide,” She said. “I hid for 75, 85 years and this is actually basically the first time I’ve ever come out.” You can watch a video of Mae speaking at the event here. We’re thrilled about the new series and thrilled that Mae is finally able to live her truth!

Gay yeehaws. Rina Sawayama has released the music video for her new gay rights/personal empowerment anthem “This Hell.” In the video, Rina has a queer and polyamorous wedding and also takes over a country bar. It feels very queer Shania Twain. She also performed the song on Fallon. Speaking of That Man, queer band MUNA also performed their song Kind of Girl on his show and they all wore leather suits. When I saw yee, you say haw.

Did Kesha also come out? Kesha posted a Pride message on Instagram last week that, in typical Kesha fashion, is a little bit hard to follow. In the post, which accompanies an image of the singer beneath a beautiful blue sky, Kesha proclaimed “I’m not gay. I’m not straight. I don’t know what I am. I love people. I love people because we are all our own little consciousness journeys, dancing around the sun.” We earnestly hope Kesha is doing well and are ready to join her on her little consciousness journey.
